Made for French Bulldogs
A French Bulldog needs only a few grooming tools, and the right one depends on your biggest mess: loose hair, muddy paws or bath night. His coat is short, so there is nothing to detangle. Sizes are on each product page.

A gentle one made for a short, smooth coat: a glove with rubber nubs or a curved shell comb. Take the glove if you like to pet him while you groom, and the comb for a slow weekly pass. Metal rakes made for thick coats are too harsh.
Use the glove or the shell comb with light strokes in the direction the hair grows, from neck to tail. Peel the hair off the tool as it collects. Keep away from his face and the skin under his tail.
Not for the coat. A short, smooth coat is easy to look after at home with a glove, a bath brush and a towel. A groomer is a choice, not a rule.
Brush him weekly, more often when he sheds heavily, and let the hair on the glove or comb tell you. Rinse muddy paws after the walk. If he rolls in something, wash him sooner.
Match the tool to your biggest mess. Hair on the couch: a glove or a shell comb. Muddy paws: a paw washer cup. Bath night: a shampoo bath brush. Most owners start with one and add the next when a new mess shows up.
Pour lukewarm water into the paw washer cup until it covers the bristle tips, lower one paw, twist the cup back and forth, then lift the paw out and dab it dry. Measure his paw first and check the size on the product page.
