A front ring turns a lunging dog sideways, but it does not teach him to stop. The Reflective Harness has one; clip the leash there when he pulls. The other harnesses clip on the back only.
Measure his chest at the widest part, just behind the front legs, and pick the size whose range holds that measurement. Weight alone misleads. Every product page has its own size table.
Over the head: open the neck loop wide, ease it past his ears, then close the buckle. Step-in: lay it flat, put his front paws in, lift and buckle. Then check the straps are snug but not tight.
For walks, a harness: the pull lands on his chest and shoulders, not at his neck. A flat collar still has one job, holding his ID tag.
Take the smallest size on the page and measure his chest the week you buy. A puppy grows fast, so check the fit again before every few walks.
